The best Christmas presents were not wrapped and placed under the tree. Only the baby blue decoration on the tree gave a hint of the best gifts...the safe birth of Ryan & Matthew and the joy of parenthood.
Michele was home for xmas but the boys had to stay behind in the hospital. Although the boys were growing stronger each day, the idea that they remained in the hospital overshadowed what would've been a joyous xmas celebration.
Because Christmas is a time for miracles & blessings, God delivered the boys safely back home for the first time on Dec 26th. It was a joyous homecoming and the entire family celebrated the rest of the holiday season filled with babies, diapers, bottles, big smiles and love.
When we picked up the boys, it was a time for many of our first experience...picking out the boys' first outfits, using the car seats for the first time, be the sole care taker of our children (no more nurses to coach us), feeling the tremendous joy of all these events for the first time.
