It is a Chinese custom to celebrate the birth of a new baby one month after birth. It's called "full month" party. The family would prepare red eggs, pickled ginger and eggs (for the new mother's diet) and pass them out the neighbors. Nowadays, it is rare that the party is held on the exact completion of a full month.
Ryan & Matthew's "full month" celebration was held in March 2001 at Yank Sing Restaurant in the Rincon Center in San Francisco. There were over 200 guests who celebrated with us!! Believe it or not, mommy and daddy were so busy greeting guests that they didn't take any photos of us on that day!
